The Junta de Andalucía’s Victim Support Service (SAVA) in Cordoba provided assistance to 1,475 individuals and institutions in 2023. Over 48% of those seeking help were women, primarily aged 30-44, single, and residing outside the city. Domestic violence cases were the most prevalent, with 710 women seeking support. The SAVA, managed by the Ministry of Justice, provides legal, psychological, and social support to victims of all types of crimes, regardless of their nationality, age, or legal status. The service also has mobile teams to reach victims in rural areas. In Cordoba, 88% of the users were women, and 135 minors, mostly girls, received assistance. The service has a specific protocol for victims of gender-based violence, ensuring coordinated support and information sharing between the SAVA and the Andalusian Institute for Women. Victims of domestic violence are often referred to the SAVA by the IAM. The most common crimes reported were injuries (30%), psychological harm (24.19%), and violation of freedom (25.21%).
