The Colmar Cycling Criterion is back for its second edition on August 31st, 2024, bringing a vibrant cycling event to the city. This year’s race is part of the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) calendar, promising a thrilling spectacle for spectators. The course spans two kilometers and will see riders complete between 30 and 50 laps. To ensure smooth operations, several road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented throughout the day. On August 31st, 2024, from 9am until the security measures are lifted, vehicle traffic will be prohibited on several streets including Avenue de la République, Rue Bruat, Rue Preiss, Rue des Potiers, and Rue Hertrich. Parking restrictions will begin at 8am on Avenue de la République, the parking on Rue Bruat in front of the prefecture, and the parking at Place Sainte Catherine. The entrance and exit on Avenue de la République of the Rapp underground parking will be closed, but the exit on Boulevard du Champ-de-Mars will remain open.
