The Chinese Olympic athletes’ delegation concluded its three-day visit to Hong Kong on August 31st. The Hong Kong Sports Institute and Olympic Committee hosted a farewell luncheon expressing their gratitude for the team’s presence. Hong Kong’s Chief Executive, John Lee, emphasized the strong sports atmosphere in Hong Kong, with citizens actively following the delegation’s movements. Lee highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting sports in Hong Kong, encouraging collaboration between Hong Kong and mainland athletes. The delegation’s leader, Gao Zhi Dan, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of sports in strengthening ties between Hong Kong and mainland China. Following the luncheon, the delegation departed for Macau via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
