The Fifth Qingdao Multinationals Summit, held in Shandong province, China, brought together over 550 representatives from 451 multinational companies. This summit, the first of its kind since the 20th CPC Central Committee’s meeting, focused on strengthening China’s collaboration with multinational corporations (MNCs). Key figures like Zhang Qingwei, Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress, highlighted the importance of MNCs in driving globalization. Lin Wu, Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, expressed willingness to share strategic opportunities with MNCs, encouraging them to invest and participate in Shandong’s economic growth. The Ministry of Commerce affirmed its support for Shandong’s endeavors in expanding international economic and trade cooperation. The summit aimed to facilitate deeper understanding and investment by MNCs in China, showcasing the potential of the Chinese market.
