The National Accessibility Environment Exhibition Hall, showcasing China’s advancements in accessibility, has officially opened in Beijing. The exhibition hall, located within the Beijing Municipal Planning Exhibition Hall, is dedicated to promoting accessibility and highlighting its importance in China. The exhibition features various examples of accessible design, including a 1:1 scale model of a new high-speed train carriage designed for accessibility, a renovated bathroom incorporating 43 accessibility features, and a visual representation of the national flag raised at Tiananmen Square on the day the accessibility law was enacted. The exhibition’s color scheme and design are tailored for visitors with visual impairments, including color contrast pathways for easier navigation.
