A Cathay Pacific aircraft scheduled to depart from Kaohsiung, Taiwan to Hong Kong on August 31st experienced engine failure during takeoff. The flight was subsequently forced to abort takeoff and return to the tarmac. Fortunately, no passengers or crew members were injured in the incident. Cathay Pacific confirmed that passengers affected by the cancellation will be rebooked on other flights to their destination on the same day. The airline has provided meal vouchers to passengers while they await their rescheduled flights. Cathay Pacific emphasized that the safety of its passengers and crew is their top priority and expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused.
