Mexican authorities in San Buenaventura have successfully dismantled a dangerous car theft ring operating in the city. Following an intelligence operation, four individuals linked to a string of vehicle thefts were apprehended. The suspects were presented to the Public Ministry and transferred to the Monclova prison, where they will remain in preventive custody. This group was also allegedly involved in burglaries. The arrest came after a series of simultaneous raids in different neighborhoods of the city. During the operation, authorities recovered all reported stolen vehicles, along with numerous tools and materials used for the crimes. San Buenaventura’s Police Chief, Christian Venegas, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the operation, highlighting the dedication and professionalism of the involved officers. The detainees are facing charges related to vehicle theft, criminal association, and other offenses. Investigations are ongoing to identify any other individuals involved in this criminal network. Authorities have also placed two minors under the care of other institutions.
