The Can Tho Tax Department has been granted the right to recover over 25 billion VND in land tax owed by Company CP 720. This follows a recent successful appeal of a court decision by the High People’s Court in Ho Chi Minh City. The case involved an administrative lawsuit filed by Company CP 720 against the Can Tho Tax Department, challenging the department’s decision regarding the management of state land and taxation. The lawsuit sought to annul the department’s decision to collect land tax, penalties for late payment, and the enforcement of the administrative decision on taxation. However, the High People’s Court ultimately upheld the Can Tho Tax Department’s decision, dismissing the company’s appeal. This victory means the Can Tho Tax Department can now proceed with collecting the outstanding tax amount from Company CP 720.
