A businessman in Trujillo, Peru, was shot and robbed of his truck in a daylight incident captured on security camera footage. Two assailants, one wearing an orange safety vest and the other a beige jacket, approached the victim’s vehicle in a suspicious manner. One assailant forced the driver out of the window while his accomplice entered through the passenger door. Despite the victim’s pleas, the assailants remained undeterred. When the businessman attempted to fight back, he was shot in the left arm. The assailants then fled, leaving the injured man behind. The victim, identified as D.B.G., 64, was treated by the Trujillo Provincial Municipality’s IRAM Security Group and transported to the Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital. The victim later filed a report with the Vehicle Theft Prevention Unit (Uprove).
