Bus and Truck Collision in Mali Claims 14 Lives

A tragic road accident in Mali has claimed the lives of 14 people and injured 29 others. The collision occurred on Monday morning when a bus and a truck collided head-on on a major road east of Bamako, the country’s capital. The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure confirmed the incident, attributing the crash to a head-on collision between the two vehicles. Investigations into the cause of the accident are currently underway. Road accidents remain a significant concern in Mali, often attributed to poor road conditions, inadequate vehicle maintenance, and driver negligence. In July, a similar accident involving two buses in central Mali resulted in 16 deaths.
