Package holidays in Bulgaria became slightly more expensive in July 2024, with prices increasing by 4.1% year-on-year, according to Eurostat. While this signifies a price hike, Bulgaria’s figure remains below the EU average of 6.6%. The EU-wide increase in package holiday prices is attributed to rising costs for travel, accommodation, and other holiday-related services. Domestic package holidays in the EU saw a steeper increase of 11.1%, while international packages rose by 5.7%. This trend of rising package holiday prices has been observed across the EU since August 2021.
