Bulgaria Provides Over €2 Million in Aid to Ukrainian Refugees

The Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism has announced the disbursement of 4,294,381.95 leva (€2,202,715) to individuals and organizations that provided shelter and meals to Ukrainian refugees under the Humanitarian Assistance Program for Displaced Persons from Ukraine. The funds will be credited to the accounts of all applicants by tomorrow. The payments cover the period of February, March, and April 2024. This latest payment follows an earlier disbursement of 9,275,665.80 leva (€4,744,996) in June, covering the period from November 2023 to February 2024. These payments highlight the Bulgarian government’s ongoing commitment to supporting Ukrainian refugees.
