Massive Attack, the British band known for its iconic 90s trip-hop sound, has become a staunch advocate for the Palestinian cause. The group, which has a strong history of taking political stances, has increasingly integrated symbols and messages expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people into their performances. During their recent concert in London, the band showcased Palestinian flags and images from the West Bank on giant screens. They also collaborated with Palestinian photographer Motaz Aziza, whose work was displayed during the show. Massive Attack has consistently opposed Israeli policies. The band announced on Twitter that they have refrained from performing in Israel since 2002 at the request of Palestinian civil society and artistic institutions. They have stated that they will continue to abstain from performing in the country as a form of non-violent pressure to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
