A Bosnian Army helicopter carrying four crew members made an emergency landing in Jablanica Lake during a training exercise on Wednesday. The UH-1H helicopter, which was participating in a rehearsal for a planned civil protection exercise in Konjic, crashed around 11 a.m. Fortunately, all four crew members – the pilot, co-pilot, flight technician, and a search and rescue specialist – were unharmed and received precautionary medical care at a hospital in Konjic. Konjic Mayor Osman Ćatić visited the site of the incident and expressed relief at the crew’s safety. The helicopter was involved in preparations for a civil protection drill scheduled for Thursday. The incident has shaken the local community, which holds a strong connection with the Bosnian Armed Forces, particularly after their recent successful firefighting efforts in the area.
