The Health Infrastructure and Medical Equipment Agency (Aisem) in Bolivia has marked its seventh anniversary with a focus on modernizing healthcare. The agency, established in 2017, has been instrumental in building new hospitals with advanced technology, strengthening the country’s healthcare system. Aisem has already delivered a tertiary-level hospital in Villa Tunari, Cochabamba, and initiated operations at similar facilities in Montero (Santa Cruz) and Chuquisaca. Construction is underway on secondary-level hospitals in Camiri, Monteagudo, Villazón, and Tupiza. Aisem has also overseen the construction of a Radiotherapy Unit in Cochabamba and is preparing for the opening of the Bicentenary Gastroenterology Institute. A key part of Aisem’s mandate is equipping healthcare facilities across Bolivia with modern medical and non-medical equipment.
