Tota served as the joint convener of the Comilla district’s BNP’s organizing committee and held key positions within the party. His son, Bahadur, accused several local politicians of orchestrating the attack, claiming that his father was targeted due to his political affiliation. Police are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made yet. The incident sparked outrage among BNP leaders who condemned the attack and demanded swift justice.
