Benfica Bolsters Defense with Loan Signing from Manchester City

Benfica has secured another defensive reinforcement with the arrival of Issa Kaboré. The 23-year-old right-back, who has struggled to establish himself at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, has joined the Portuguese giants on loan. Kaboré, an international for Burkina Faso, has been with City since 2020, but has yet to feature for the first team. He has spent his time at City on loan to various clubs, including Mechelen, Troyes, Olympique Marseille, and Luton Town. Now, he will compete for a starting spot at Benfica alongside Alexander Bah. The signing of Kaboré marks Benfica’s sixth new addition this summer.
