Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, has announced his intention to strengthen his squad with two new signings from the Romanian SuperLiga. Following the team’s qualification for the Europa League group stage, Becali revealed that he plans to bring in a striker and a central defender. The announcement came with a subtle jab at rival club CFR Cluj, who were eliminated from the Conference League by Pafos FC. Becali emphasized his desire to compete with Dan Petrescu, CFR Cluj’s coach, in the domestic league, indicating that the new signings will be players he personally knows and believes can compete with Petrescu’s team.
