Bangladesh’s Police Chief Meets with UN Human Rights Representatives

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bangladesh, Md. Moinul Islam, met with a delegation from the United Nations Human Rights Office (OHCHR) on Wednesday. The delegation, led by Rory Mungoven, Head of the Asia-Pacific Section of the OHCHR, expressed their commitment to working with Bangladeshi authorities on human rights issues. The meeting, held at the Police Headquarters in Dhaka, focused on strengthening cooperation between the Bangladesh Police and the UN agency. The IGP assured the delegation of his full support and cooperation in their efforts to promote human rights in Bangladesh.
