Baby Kidnapped in Bihar Found Safe After 72 Hours, Five Arrested in Uttar Pradesh

A five-month-old baby boy, kidnapped from Gopalganj in Bihar, has been recovered safely in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The baby, who had been taken from his mother’s care while he was playing on a cot, was found after a 72-hour search. Police have arrested five individuals, including a woman, in connection with the kidnapping. The woman, identified as Chema Devi, claimed she had been unable to conceive for six years and had sought help from her sister and brother-in-law to obtain a child. She allegedly agreed to pay three lakh rupees for the baby but had already sent half the amount through PhonePe. The police investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of the conspiracy and apprehend any other individuals involved.
