Arunachal Police Arrest Constable, Another in Drug Smuggling Case

Arunachal Pradesh police have arrested a police constable and another individual on charges of drug smuggling. The arrest was made on Thursday in the state’s West Siang district, where police recovered 13.36 grams of heroin valued at Rs. 50,000 from the suspects. The police team had received information about the smuggling operation, where drugs were being transported from Silapathar in Assam to the district headquarters in Aalo. A vehicle belonging to the constable was used in the crime. The arrested individuals are being investigated under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
