Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, participated in the opening session of the high-level international forum on ‘Youth, Peace and Security’ in Amman, Jordan. The forum, held under the patronage of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, brought together youth ministers from across the Arab world. Aboul Gheit emphasized the importance of youth engagement in peace efforts and the Arab League’s dedication to developing the Arab strategy for youth, peace and security. He praised Prince Hussein’s role in advocating for youth involvement in peacebuilding, citing UN Security Council Resolution 2250 (2015) on Youth, Peace and Security, which was initiated by the Crown Prince. Aboul Gheit also expressed admiration for the resilience and contributions of Palestinian youth in the face of ongoing conflict.
