Jolie, in a press conference, spoke candidly about the challenges of transforming into Callas and learning to sing like her. She confessed, ‘I had never sung publicly before. I spent seven months in preparation.’ Jolie emphasized the importance of thorough training, stating, ‘I felt I needed a lot of preparation so that I wouldn’t feel like I was doing Maria Callas and her fans a disservice.’ She also expressed gratitude for her sons’ support in protecting her privacy during the demanding filming process.
