Al Ahly is preparing to announce the signing of two new players before the African Football Confederation (CAF) transfer window closes, aiming to strengthen their squad ahead of the CAF Super Cup match against Zamalek on September 27th in Saudi Arabia. The club has already officially secured the services of Yusuf Ayman, loaned from Qatari club Al-Duhail, and Moroccan defender Yahya Attiat Allah, on loan from Russian side Sochi. They also brought in fellow Moroccan player Ashraf Dari from Brest in France. Al Ahly officials are currently working hard to finalize the deal for Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan from Ferencvárosi in Hungary. This transfer has faced some challenges due to financial disagreements between the clubs and the issue of Al Ahly’s foreign player quota, as they seek to offload a foreign player like Percy Tau or Ali Maaloul to make space for Ben Ramadan. Al Ahly is also close to securing the signing of Omar El-Saai, a midfielder from Ismaily, during the current transfer window. The Red Castle officials have intensified their negotiations with their counterparts at Ismaily, especially given El-Saai’s strong desire to join Al Ahly and his preference for the club over other available offers. If the club successfully signs both Ben Ramadan and El-Saai, Al Ahly will have completed five new transfers before the CAF transfer window closes. The club has seen several departures this summer, including Anthony Modeste, Mohamed El-Dawawi Kristo, Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Abd El-Qadir, and Mohamed Abdelmonem.
