19 Suspects Arrested in Thessaloniki for Involvement in 14 Criminal Gangs

Thessaloniki police announced the dismantling of 14 criminal gangs, resulting in the arrest of 37 individuals. The gangs operated in various criminal activities, including burglaries, robberies, and drug trafficking. Out of the 37 individuals arrested, 19 have been remanded in custody following their appearances before a judge. The remaining suspects were released on bail with restrictions, including two minors and one woman. The gangs operated independently since July 2020, committing 553 criminal acts and amassing over €2.76 million in illicit gains. The arrests were made on the basis of warrants, and the investigation involved the analysis of over 20,000 pages of documentation.
